The Zoobiquity Conference Mission
The mission of the Zoobiquity Conferences is to accelerate biomedical innovation and expand understanding of the nature and origin of health and disease. By bringing together experts in human and animal health, evolutionary and conservation biology, ecology and public health, Zoobiquity Conferences create unique opportunities for research, clinical and educational collaborations across a wide range of related fields.
First held in 2011, Zoobiquity Conferences have focused on research agendas (Stanford 2014); the effect of environments on human and animal health (Seattle 2014); and specialties such as neurology and psychiatry (New York 2016).
In September 2019, a special Zoobiquity Event: Bio-Inspired Medicine, supported by the Nobel Assembly, was convened in Stockholm one day prior to the Nobel Conference 2019. The event turned to the natural world to develop innovative approaches to two major concerns in women’s health: heart failure and fertility preservation.
